3 Lipsticks For This Autumn

Now it's September, I can officially post about Autumn without feeling ashamed or worrying it's too early. You know what else that means? It means the darker lipsticks are creeping out again. I love a bold lipstick, so I thought I would share my three top dark lipsticks for this Autumn. They're not new releases, in fact, I bought two of them in the John Lewis sale a few months ago.

The anti-age Concealer Everyone Is Talking About

Maybelline Instant anti-age concealer review

I've been eying up this Maybelline Instant anti-age concealer for a while now. Not because it's anti-age, but more because I was curious to try its applicator. I've never really been a massive fan of products that already come with applicators, mainly because having acne-prone skin means I have to keep my brushes very clean. So the thought of having a concealer that has the applicator attached to it, well it kind of put me off a bit. However, after hearing such good things about it, I justified using it because I would only be using it under my eyes and I can't say I've ever had a breakout there.

The Budget Friendly Palette For Autumn

I know, I know... Another palette. Did I need another one? Not really. Did I buy it anyway? Yes, of course. With Autumn creeping upon us, I've been in the mood for warmer tones. So when I spotted Revolutions new Forever Flawless "Fire" palette on Twitter, I couldn't help myself. One minute I was scrolling through Twitter and the next I was checking out on the Revolution website.

The other day, I was on Superdrugs website having a little look at what's new, when I came across the new L'Oreal Paris Bambi Mascara. I knew as soon as I spotted it that I was going to buy it, I was running out of my current mascara and I wanted to try something new. So what drew me to this one and is it any good?

How I Got On With The Inkey List Skincare

The Inkey List skincare review

I've been trying to branch out recently and try new brands, well new for me anyway. That's when I came across The Inkey List and their straightforward skincare products. There's no pretty packaging and fancy names, all their products have the same black and white packaging. The products don't have catchy names either, they just have the ingredients on them, cutting out all the nonsense.

Is Sanctuary Spas Wet Skin Radiance Jelly Any Good?

Sanctuary Spa Wet Skin Radiance Jelly review

I'll be honest, I'm easily influenced when it comes to shopping... So when Maria posted about Sanctuary Spas Wet Skin Radiance Jelly on her Instagram stories, I couldn't resist. I liked the sound of it, being able to just whack it on when you turn the shower off without having to make sure you're dry first. Plus, it's watermelon scented, so how could I resist? But is this Wet Skin Radiance Jelly actually any good, or does it leave your skin wanting more?

The Perfect Golden Highlighter

BECCA "Gold Lava" highlighter review

I'd heard a lot about BECCA's highlighters but never been brave enough to try them as I worried they'd be a bit too shiny for me. That was until I came across this BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector pressed highlighter in the John Lewis sale. Is it possible to resist something when it's on sale? I don't think so. I figured Summer was the perfect time of year to get that glow.

#2. New in beauty || July

New in beauty Summer 2019

As much as an impulsive shopaholic that I am, I can't afford to buy absolutely everything that piques my interest. So my way of dealing with that is sharing what I've spotted, but haven't bought, here on my blog... Just in case anyone else wants to buy them. So here's the second instalment of "New in Beauty".

The Perfect Lipstick For a Summer Evening

NARS "Pierce" Powermatte Lip Luster metallic lipstick

Yes, I really am going to post about another red lipstick. This time there's a twist though, it's a metallic one... I've never used a metallic lipstick before I don't think. In case you haven't noticed yet, red lipsticks are my favourite bit of makeup. I honestly can't resist a good red lipstick, so when I came across a few in the John Lewis sale... I had to pick them up. One of those lipsticks was this NARS "Pierce" Powermatte Lip Luster metallic lipstick. I'd never tried anything from NARS, so now seemed like a good time to do so.

KIKO's Ocean Feel Range || Is it actually Summer-proof?

KIKO Ocean Feel Summer-proof makeup review

As soon as I booked my holiday to Gran Canaries, I was excited for Summer. Which, if you know me, you'll know is rare - I'm more of an Autumn and Spring person if I'm honest. Anyway, being in the mood for Summer meant I was also in the mood for some seasonal products. So when I came across KIKO's Ocean Feel Summer-proof range, I was intrigued. The last few times I've been on holiday, I've put off wearing foundation as it tends to melt off my face, so was the Ocean Feel range the answer to all my problems? Or was it not as Summer-proof as promised?

The Body Shop's Tea Tree Collection For Acne-Prone Skin

The Body Shop Tea Tree review

I've used a fair amount of products with tea tree in over the years. It's one of those ingredients that you're drawn to if you have acne prone and blemished skin. Why? Because it has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties that are perfect to help fight those pesky spots. So when I went into The Body Shop the other day and spotted their Tea Tree collection, I had to pick it up and give it a go - But was it any good?

My thoughts on Simple skincare

Simple skincare review

I've heard a lot about Simple skincare, it's budget friendly and apparently worth it - So I've been told. I personally have only tried a few of their products and, in my experience, they're a bit hit or miss. So when I was running low on skincare, I thought I'd change up my routine a bit and try out some more Simple skincare products. Mainly because I was on a budget, but also because I wanted to try some more of their stuff out.

Curling Short Hair || How I do it & What Products I Use

Curling short hair with straighners

As someone with naturally straight hair, I've always wanted lovely wavey/curly hair. When my hair was longer, I would curl it and they just wouldn't hold. It'd look lovely for the first half an hour and then after that, they'd slip out and my lovely straight, limp hair would return. However, when I cut it all off, everything changed. So I thought I would share how I curl my short hair and what products I use - as I know it's something that can be a bit of a pain to nail.

Is Soap & Glory's Fab Pore Purifying Foam Cleanser any good?

Soap & Glory's "The Fab Pore Purifying Foam Cleanser" review
This post contains PR samples but all words and opinions here are my own

A couple of months ago, I arrived home to a surprise PR package from Soap & Glory. In it, alongside their Pore-Refining mask, was The Fab Pore Purifying Foam Cleanser - Which is a product I've debated trying a few times but never picked it up. So when they so kindly sent it to me to try out, I was over the moon. So is the Soap & Glory "The Fab Pore Purifying Foam Cleanser" actually any good for us oily skin people?

Trying out e.l.f Cosmetics highlighters || Are they any good?

e.l.f cosmetics budget highlighters

Not long ago, I discovered how to actually use highlighters without making my skin look extra oily. Which meant, that I had to stock up on them as I didn't really have that many. So when I went a bit mad in the e.l.f Cosmetics sale, I picked up a few of their highlighters to try out. So what exactly did I think to these budget-friendly highlighters

#1 - My Week in Makeup || Four Everyday Makeup Looks

** I have worked with Soap & Glory but all words here are my own

I was recently inspired by Lauren to do a "My week in outfits" post, but I quickly realised that my work clothes aren't really that exciting. They're very office appropriate, but that's about it. So I thought I would do a week in makeup instead, as I have a fair amount of makeup and I thought it would be a great way to kind of display a few products.

The e.l.f £5 Sculpting Eyeshadow, is it any good?

e.l.f "Berry Please" eyeshadow review

Well, well, well... A budget friendly eyeshadow that resembles the Kat Von D "Shade & Light" eye contour quad - Could it be too good to be true? Yes, yes it is. Recently over on my YouTube channel, I posted an e.l.f Cosmetics sale hauland in it was this e.l.f "Berry Please" sculpting silk eyeshadow that I managed to pick up for under £5.

5 Things I wish I'd known about skincare before

Tips for blemished skincare

Taking care of my skin is something that I love spending time on. Especially since I learned to embrace my natural skin and ditch foundation every day. So when it comes to skincare, there are a few things I've learnt over the years that I wish I'd known a long time ago.

I love makeup and I love that when I wear it, it makes me feel good. So when it comes to foundation, I like to try out ones that my skin will benefit from while I use them. With Spring coming up, I wanted one that would make my skin look radiant and healthy and the Bourjois Healthy Mix anti-fatigue foundation does exactly that.
