3 Lipsticks For This Autumn

Now it's September, I can officially post about Autumn without feeling ashamed or worrying it's too early. You know what else that means? It means the darker lipsticks are creeping out again. I love a bold lipstick, so I thought I would share my three top dark lipsticks for this Autumn. They're not new releases, in fact, I bought two of them in the John Lewis sale a few months ago.

I'll start with my moisturizing e.l.f lipstick. I bought this a few months ago when I went mad on their website, I'd just discovered them and I couldn't resist picking up a dark lipstick for Autumn. My favorite thing about this creamy lipstick is that it's super moisturizing, perfect for when it gets a bit colder and your lips decided to have a little panic about it. I also learned the other day that if you pop the bottom bit out of the lipstick you'll find a lipgloss in there. They kept that quiet, did you know about the hidden lipgloss?

I've only recently started using NARS products and all I can say is, how have I not used them before? This lipstick may be a bit more expensive than my creamy e.l.f lipstick, but it's most definitely worth it. Why you ask? Not only is it creamy, but it also stays put all day without making your lips go all flaky and dry. It doesn't go all patchy and it sure doesn't transfer to your chin when you eat. How annoying is that? I can't tell you the number of times I've ended up with a red chin after dinner and no one has bothered to tell me. This stylish NARS lipstick was released as part of their 2018 holiday collection, so it's not a new release but definitely one I would recommend you pick up as soon as possible.

Urban Decay Blackmail Liquid Lipstick

This Urban Decay waterproof liquid lipstick is one you should stay far away from if you have dry lips, but most liquid lipsticks are the same. This lipstick will stay in place all day, giving you that perfect matte lipstick. It is a lot darker than the first two, so it will make you look a bit goth which I personally don't mind. After having a bad experience with an Urban Decay foundation, I stayed away from their products for a while. However, after using this beautiful liquid lipstick and being very happy with the results, I'll probably be picking up some more of their stuff very soon.

So there are my three dark lipsticks for this Autumn. I won't lie, I'll probably buy some more soon because I can never resist a good lipstick. I'm looking forward to rocking my boots, jumpers and a dark lip. How about you? Have you got any lipstick preferences for Autumn?
