Is Sanctuary Spas Wet Skin Radiance Jelly Any Good?

Sanctuary Spa Wet Skin Radiance Jelly review

I'll be honest, I'm easily influenced when it comes to shopping... So when Maria posted about Sanctuary Spas Wet Skin Radiance Jelly on her Instagram stories, I couldn't resist. I liked the sound of it, being able to just whack it on when you turn the shower off without having to make sure you're dry first. Plus, it's watermelon scented, so how could I resist? But is this Wet Skin Radiance Jelly actually any good, or does it leave your skin wanting more?

Sanctuary Spa Wet Skin Radiance Jelly review

Actually putting in the effort of moisturising my entire body after every shower is something that I've only started doing consistently over the past few months. I know, I know... terrible! I could never be bothered and my skin never really felt that dry. However, the more I learn about skincare the more I realise that I should look after my skin and moisturise no matter what. I have to remind myself this every time I get out of the shower and think about skipping moisturising.

The Sanctuary Spa Wet Skin Radiance Jelly seemed like the solution to my laziness and perfect for the mornings that I wake up a bit later than planned and end up being in a rush. It is said to have a unique way of moisturising by capitalising on the skins peak hydration moment while it's wet. Not only is it supposed to hydrate, but it's also supposed to leave your skin glowing and radiant.

"Fast-absorbing multi-tasking moisture for your daily shower routine with both lightweight hydration & natural exfoliation in one." - Sanctuary Spa

I started using this about a week or two before I went on holiday and I was happy with how radiant my skin looked. Its jelly-like texture turns to a water-like texture as soon as it's on your skin, making it really easy to apply and also fast-absorbing - There's no residue left on your skin once you're dry. However, I stopped using it for a week because it was too big to take on the plane with me. So I went on holiday, accidentally burnt patches of my skin where I'd obviously missed when applying copious amounts of sun cream and then when I got home I was eager to resume using the Wet Skin Radiance Jelly, only to be disappointed. Due to being in the sun all week and slightly sunburnt, my skin was actually a bit drier than normal which meant for once, I really did need to moisturise otherwise I'd look a bit like a reptile.

When intense moisturising was actually needed, it definitely didn't do the job. I had to revert back to using my usual heavier body moisturiser for a bit until my skin got a bit of life back. Now I know the Sanctuary Spa Wet Skin Radiance Jelly isn't as hydrating as I'd initially thought, I do make sure I use a heavier cream at least once a week to keep my skin happy.

I have found the perfect use for it though and the reason I'd go out and buy it again. I recently started swimming, which means I'm having to shower at the gym, and missing out on cream after being in a chlorine pool is not something I can get away with. So I take this with me and whack it on after my shower, it is perfect for that because it's easy to apply and it soaks up fast so I can stick some leggings on and rush out of after. Hassle-free.

So, my final thoughts? It wasn't as hydrating as I'd hoped and although it smells amazing, the smell doesn't stick around for long after you've applied it. However, I do think it's perfect for rushed showers or the gym as it's so easy to apply and leaves no residue at all. Would I buy it again? For sure, it has a permeant place in my gym bag now.
