L'Oreal Hydra Genius Aloe Water For Oily Skin

A few weeks ago I picked up the L'Oreal Hydra Genius Aloe Water out of curiosity. I'm always on the look out for different moisturizers that are compatible with my lovely oily skin, and that won't leave it feeling horrible all day. I've heard a lot of good things about Aloe Vera, so this one seemed promising.

This water based moisturizer has pure Aloe Vera sap, that is renowned for it's moisturizing properties and is rich in essential minerals that help maintain the skins water reserves. It also contains hyaluronic acid, which is a powerful active ingredient which can hold 1,000 times it's weight in water and is found naturally in the skin.

Its lightweight and fresh texture makes it the perfect day moisturizer, leaving your skin feeling awake and soft. I can imagine that keeping it in the fridge would be amazing for your skin, and wake you up even more, so I might start doing that when the weather decides to behave and warm up a bit.

With one pump you get more than enough to cover your face generously, and it doesn't leave your skin feeling sticky or greasy at all. It also goes on under makeup perfectly due to it's fast absorption

However, as good as it may be for the warmer months when you need a refreshing moisturizing cream to get you through the day, I didn't find that it was intense enough to stop my skin flaking with the cold weather. So it's not really great for winter months, or snow days... Which we've had far too many of lately, ammirite?

Final thoughts;

I have been using this everyday since I got it, apart from when it was snowing and my skin needed something a bit more intense. So I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for something that isn't going to break the bank, and isn't going to leave your skin feeling oily but is going to leave it fresh and hydrated ready for the day.

Have you tried L'Oreal's Hydra Genius Aloe Water yet? If so, what did you think?
