Autumnal Colors || Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lipsticks

It's finally that time of the year, the time of the year when I can get away with wearing my darker lipsticks. I was on the look out for some new liquid lipsticks to try out that would also satisfy my need for a darker lipstick, so when I spotted these I had to give them a go. These Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lipsticks are said to have a high intensity color, velvety matte finish and a long lasting, comfortable wear. So I put them to the test.

I was looking forward to trying these lipsticks as I don't actually have any dark liquid lipsticks. Every time I'd look for them I couldn't find the right color, I knew what I wanted and I couldn't seem to find it. That was until these popped up on my feed, they have so many dark colors it made me happy.

I went for three because just the one wasn't enough. I don't even know when I'll use the black but with Halloween coming up I'm sure I'll find the perfect occasion.

I have to admit, I found them rather difficult to apply. If you layered the lipstick it would get darker, like when you paint, instead of equaling all out and blending. Maybe it's because it dries really fast, I don't know but it made it really difficult to get it looking even. Once I'd got it looking even, I was really happy with the results. It didn't make my lips look dry and horrible, I absolutely love all of the colors I bought too. Perfect for Autumn.

However, by lunchtime (at work) it had started to flake a tiny bit. I reapplied some after eating but this just made it worse, it went all clumpy and looked a mess. So you either take it all off and reapply it or you're best not to touch it.

Although it did start flaking during the day, I have to say it does stay put. It didn't smudge at all, it didn't come off onto Sam when I kissed him, which he was happy about as he usually wonders into work with lipstick on.

Conclusion; I love it, but only for a short period of time unless I plan on removing it completely before reapplying it. It doesn't smudge and leaves a lovely matte effect too, for £6 I don't think you could expect much more. Have you tried Rimmels Stay Matte Liquid Lipsticks? What did you think of them?
