A few weeks ago I attended the Bloggers Festival in London with Issy. We met some great brands and came home with a few products to try. Among those products was these creams by Deborah Mitchell.
We had a little chat with them and after a brief description of what my skin was like (oily and acne prone), she recommended I try these two products.
Peppermint Clarifying Hydrogel £19.00
I have fallen in love with this one. This product is a toner, moisturizer and primer all in one. I had my doubts when I was recommend it, I thought that it being a moisturizer too would make my skin go oily through out the day and wouldn't help keep my foundation in place. I was wrong. I am really impressed with this, I have been using it under my makeup for work and it keeps everything in it's place without it going patchy. It also gives my skin a lovely soft feeling and leaves it feeling ready for the day. Definitely a primer I would purchase.
It can be used in the morning or before bed, due to it being a toner and moisturizer too. I personally haven't used it before bed because I don't want to apply, what is also a primer, before going to sleep.
Youthful Moisturizer £19.00
I wasn't as impressed with this one. I decided to try it on a day that I wasn't wearing make up seen as it's mainly a moisturizer. I cleaned my face and then applied it, at first it was fine. It all soaked up into my skin and gave my skin a little glow... Fast forward a few hours and my skin feels really oily and horrible and I'm eager to wash it again.
Now don't get me wrong, this is probably a much better products for people with dry skin but it didn't work out for me. I don't think I'll be using it again.
