Wake Up Fresh Faced With Glow Recipe

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask by Glow Recipe review

I think I've mentioned this before but, anything Watermelon has my immediate attention. I love the smell of watermelon products, which isn't really how actual watermelon smells is it? Anyway, I came across the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask by Glow Recipe on Cultbeauty and it sounded amazing. Unfortunately, they were all sold out. So I added my name to a waiting list and waited eagerly for it to come back in stock. Surprisingly, it didn't take long at all.

I sign up to a few waiting lists when I spot products I find interesting. But I usually find that by the time they've come back into stock, I've moved onto something else and don't end up buying them. When this one came back in stock, I was still just as excited to try it. Why? Let me tell you.

This Korean beauty Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask is a bouncy light-weight sleeping mask it's also a pillow-proof formula that contains watermelon extract that soothes irritated and inflamed skin with luscious, skin-restoring vitamins, antioxidants and amino acids. It also contains hydrating hyaluronic acid and exfoliating, pore-refining alpha-hydroxy acids that work while you're sleeping. They clarify and boost skin, leaving your skin looking soft and fresh in the morning. See why I was excited to try it?

You can also use it as a quick pick me up if you're off out and want your skin to wake up and look refreshed. Just apply it to your skin and leave it on for ten minutes, wash it off and feel amazing. I've used it a couple of times when my skin is looking rather lifeless and dry. Just ten minutes gives my skin the pick me up it needs.

I don't usually use sleeping masks because they come off all over my pillow within moments of getting into bed. However the Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask is a pillow-proof formula, so not long after applying it, it soaks up into the skin. Don't get me wrong, you can still feel it on your skin but it's not likely to come off as easily. When you wake up in the morning, it'll be all stringy on your skin. A bit like when you sunburn and your skin starts peeling, meaning it's really satisfying to peel off.

When I first got it, I was using it every night. I loved how my skin looked and felt when I woke up, so fresh and soothed, it really helps calm any angry blemishes. Unfortunately, I also woke up with stringy bits of it in my hair, so I started only using it when I needed to wash my hair the next day. Which turns out, is more than enough anyway.

I'll admit that for £40, I did expect something a bit bigger. So when I got it and saw how small it was, I wasn't convinced. After using it though and seeing the results, I can confidently say it is definitely worth it and it's a product I would 100% buy again when I run out. It's such a fresh feeling too, so in the warmer months I'll be keeping it in the fridge - I bet that will be insanely refreshing.
