The Perfect Spring/Summer Nails*

I'm not going to lie, most of the time my nails are bare. I don't bother with nail polish every day because it usually just ends up looking tacky. However, when I go out and spend a bit of extra time getting ready, I do like a good nail polish. I usually go for darker colours (by that I mean black), but these vibrant Leighton Denny* nail polishes are perfect for Spring and Summer.

I love these colours, but I have to say I don't think I'd ever wear the pink. Pink just isn't really my colour... However, the other three are perfect for me.

Here we have the "Cool Rain" shade and the "Rumba Rose" shade from Leighton Denny's new Havana Heat collection. A collection that is packed full of shades perfect for the warmer months, there's a great mix of subtle shades and more vibrant ones depending on what floats your boat.

Please don't judge my nail painting skills, they are terrible I know. But here's them on, may I also add that this is only one coat of nail polish and they look pretty good. Apart from not only being on my nails.

As for these two, they're definitely my favourites and will probably become my most used this summer. I love that when they're combined they make they perfect everyday nail colour. The "Natural White" makes a lovely natural base with the "Angel Dust" glitter on top to add an extra something.

Together they make the perfect subtle nail look for this summer, a way to keep it simple but also glamorous. Don't you think?

As for the quality of Leighton Denny's nail polishes, well I've spoken about them before and nothing has changed in that regard. They dry fast and stick around for longer than my cheaper ones, however, that doesn't mean they last forever. They still chip, but I get at least a day or two out of it before they do... Which is longer than usual.

What colours are you leaning towards for spring and summer this year? I'd love to know which nail polishes you'd recommend! Let me know in the comments.
