"Flick it. Wing it. Draw It." But is it Really Worth It?

If you know me, you'll know that my go-to makeup look is winged eyeliner. I can't even remember not doing my makeup like that anymore and it feels so weird when I do something different. So finding a good eyeliner that is easy to use is a must for me. I love Makeup Revolution, so when I saw their new "Renaissance Flick" eyeliner for only £5, I had to give it a go.

For me, the most important thing about an eyeliner is that it's easy to apply and doesn't smudge throughout the day. When I'm getting ready for work in the morning, that last thing I want is to have to spend more than five minutes drawing my wings. That's why I tend to opt for felt-tip type eyeliners, as I'm just not capable of using a liquid one when I don't have ages to spend perfecting it.

Luckily, this "Renaissance Flick" is perfect for rushed makeup because of it's easy to use felt-tip end. So when it comes to an everyday eyeliner, this one is perfect.

Not only is it really easy to apply, it also comes out perfectly in one go which is good seen as when it dries, it's really difficult to go back over it without messing it up. When I go back over the line once it's dry, it just takes it off and makes it go all patchy. That's the only negative thing I have to say about this, which really isn't a big issue as I tend to get it right on the first go. After years of practice may I add.

I have tried other eyeliners that are so thin that they barely come out meaning you have to go over it ten times before your wings actually look anything like you want them too.

Here's a little demonstration of the eyeliner on my face. This is usually how I do my makeup, not always with the red lipstick but the eyeliner is always the same because I'm super original. It takes me under five minutes every morning to apply.

As for how it holds out throughout the day... I never thought I'd say this but... It's much better and more resistant than my usual Soap & Glory eyeliner. Even in the heat, my wings stayed in place and didn't even transfer to the top of my eyelid. I'm really impressed at the quality and durability of this eyeliner for just £5! What a bargain

Conclusion;

If you wear eyeliner and are on a budget, this is the one for you. This quickly became my new best friend, leaving my usual Soap & Glory one in the past, never to be seen again as it's more expensive and not as good. It's affordable, easy to use and lasts all day even when the rest of your face has melted off in the heat.

Have you tried Makeup Revolution's "Renaissance Flick" eyeliner yet? Let me know in the comments.
