My First Time || Fake Lashes

When it comes to fake lashes, I know absolutely nothing. I'd never been too bothered about them, which means I'd never tried them. But I kept hearing about the Kiss lashes and grew increasingly interested in giving them a go. I was so kindly sent out a few of their lashes to try out and report back on how it went. So here's how using fake lashes for the first time went for me.
The main reason I've never used them before is that I have very sensitive eyes. Sometimes even eyeshadow can make my eyes sting, so I tend not to try and irritate them too much. Which means putting glue and fake lashes on my eyelids didn't really seem like a great idea to me, but you never know until you give it a go.

Out of the lovely selection, I was sent I decided to try the "Looks So Natural Shy" ones first, as they do look rather light and natural and I thought they'd be a good place to start. Each pack comes with their own glue, although I was also sent some Aloe Vera glue with them.

My first thought? They look so creepy. Second thought? How the f*** do I get them on?

It was an interesting process, to say the least. I don't have the most sturdy pulse, so trying to get them on without accidentally glueing them to my eyeball was a task. I got there in the end and surprisingly it didn't take me as long as I'd thought, it could've been much worse. Once they were on, I was pretty convinced that they weren't on in the right place but they looked okay so I went with it.

As you can see, these Kiss "Looks So Natural Shy" lashes really do look so natural. I was in love with how they looked, but not so much with how they felt. Having something glued to your eyelid is not a nice feeling, and they just felt slightly uncomfortable. Do they get less uncomfortable after time?

I didn't have them on for long because my eyes started to rebel against them and became irritated by the intruders stuck to my eyelids. They are really easy to get off, which was something I was worried about as I didn't want to rip my actual eyelashes off along with the fake ones.

The glue left behind was not as easy to get off... How are you even supposed to get it off? Micellar water certainly doesn't do the trick, I can tell you that right now.

Would I buy them? Probably not. I think for now I'm just going to stick with a good mascara, they don't usually irritate my eyes and there's no danger of me accidentally sticking it to my eyeball. However, I have heard a lot of good things about the Kiss lashes! Maybe I'm just not a fake lash kinda gal, I wish I was though because they looked amazing and blended so well with my natural lashes.

Have you ever tried fake lashes before? Let me know what you think in the comments.
