Treat Your Skin With Hemp Oil*

Pull up a seat cause I'm about to tell you all about my new favourite bath product and it's friend the shower gel*. These Hempz Beauty products are derived from 100% organic hemp seed oil but don't worry, they are THC drug-free. Have you ever used Hemp seed oil for your skin? It has many benefits.
I've tried a few of the Hempz Beauty products before and loved them, so when I was sent out these I was eager to try them. All of their products are paraben free, gluten free and they're not tested on animals.

Completely off topic but if you do want to check what products are tested on animals, there's an app called Cruelty-Cutter that does just that. You scan the product and it tells you if it's cruelty-free.

Anyway, back to the products. Hemp oil has so many benefits for your skin thanks to the many essential fatty acids it contains like omega 3 which has great anti-inflammatory benefits and can heal certain skin conditions like eczema, and omega 6 that is essential for the healthy functioning of the skin and can coat the outer layer. It also naturally moisturizes and conditions your skin without clogging pores.

Let me start with this gem. I honestly don't have a bath without adding a bit of this in now, not only does it smell amazingly sweet but it also leaves my skin feeling smooth and hydrated without leaving a horrible oily trace behind. What more could you want?

Although I love a good bath bomb, I sometimes just want to just enjoy a normal bath and nourish my skin without all the added glitter and shizzle that comes along with the oh so fabulous bath bombs. This bath oil is perfect for that as it nourishes my skin and gives off a lovely, but not too strong, sweet smell of pineapple and honey melon.

I wasn't overly impressed with this. Yes, it smells amazing but I don't think it's much better than the one I currently use that costs only £1.50. Apparently, it's supposed to be good for troubled and sensitive skin, which I don't have, so maybe that's why I don't see the benefits of it? Maybe if you have eczema or another skin condition, you'd see better results. But as a normal everyday shower gel, I can't see me ever buying it. I'd much rather buy the body oil and treat myself to that every once in a while, as I see results with that.

Have you ever tried hemp seed oil for your skin? While researching these products, I discovered a few other products with hemp oil in but for your face. Apparently, it can help balance out oily skin, reduce the appearance of fine lines and it's also a good remedy for acne. So I'm going to invest in some skincare products and see how I get on with it, I will report back.
