L'Oreal Infallible 24H Matte Powder

At the beginning of this year I picked up a Maybelline powder that I featured in a post as a favorite and since then, I haven't really tried out any others. I realized that, as a blogger, I should really try some others so I can review them on my blog. Well, that's what I tell people when they question my shopping habits.

So the other day (a month ago), I picked up the L'Oreal Infallible 24H Matte Powder as I had tried the primer from that range and really liked it.

I took photos of the product before I actually tried it, so when I started using it I discovered that it also has a little mirror that opens up on the other side. Which is really handy for reapplying makeup throughout the day, but I don't have any photos of it.

My skin is rather oily, so I always use powder on top of my foundation to get rid of the shine and help it stay put for the day. Since I bought this one, it's been the only one I've used. I find that it gives my makeup a lovely matte finish, I also find that my glasses take a bit longer to slip down my nose because of my foundation. You don't need much of it for a good coverage and it costs less than five pounds.

As far as matte powders go, I have to say... this is pretty matte and a great finish to your makeup. It's quite a thick powder when you apply it, so sometimes when I don't want to put foundation on, I just use the powder and it minimizes my imperfections without using tonnes of it.

Have you tried any matte powders that you'd recommend? Let me know in the comments.
