Eye Liners For Your Wings

After recently running out of my trusty Soap and Glory eyeliner , I decided to try some other ones because what kind of blogger would I be if I never tried new makeup, right? It's always a great idea to try new products and then share them on my blog. Well that's the excuse I make every time I buy new stuff anyway.

I received this one a while ago when I still received my Birchbox each month. This eyeliner is definitely one I'd recommend if you want to go for a bolder look, seen as it is a fat one. I use this one the most, especially when I am wearing eye shadow too seen as I feel that it stands out better than a slimmer one when applied over eye shadow. It stays all day and I only found it coming off on the days that it was really hot, but luckily it's the end of summer now so I don't have to worry about that anymore.

I absolutely love Rimmel's foundation but so far I have been let down by their eye related products (mascara and eyeliner). I don't know if it's because I picked up a faulty one or what but having used it only twice it's already finished! It doesn't come out properly and the black is more of a grey due to it not coming out. So I don't think I'll be buying that one again.

Not going to lie, it took a lot of twists for this one to actually start coming out. It's a gel liner so you have to twist the end of it until the gel comes out. I found this one a bit harder to apply than the felt tips but it did stay a lot longer. I couldn't even get it off properly with makeup wipes. If you have an all day event and need a strong, long lasting eyeliner... this is the one.

Last but not least we have the L'Oreal one. I pick this one up because my Aunt told me that she uses the finer one and she is really happy with it, so I thought I'd give it a go. I'm not super impressed with it but it's good. It stays in place and is easy to apply but I still miss my Soap and Glory one, so I think I'll be picking that up next time I'm in boots.

Have you tried any of these eyeliners or do you recommend any? If so, let me know in the comments.

  1. I'm surprised you didn't like the rimmel one, i have the micro liner which i've used for months and its still going! Although this is the thick and thin one so it might be a different formula, i'd definitely recommend the micro liner, it looks very similar to the thick and thin packaging but the tip is much finer but i've never had any problems with the colour or pigment - i nearly got the thick and thin one i'm glad i didn't now! - Maria | www.mariaj.co.uk
