Books: A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara

This book has a lot of trigger warnings so please read them here first
I won't lie, this is not the kind of book I would usually go for. In fact, I only bought it because a friend (Rosie) insisted that I read it because it was traumatic but amazing. So I ordered a copy, saw how thick it was and…

Books: The Binding by Bridget Collins

I had seen this book floating around a lot online with nothing but positive reviews, so when I spotted it in my local bookshop I knew I had to add it to my library. I wasn't entirely sure what it was about when I picked it up, but a brief read of the blurb gave me an idea. A book full of questions that needed answering, my kind of book. I love spending the entire book trying to figure out where it's going and trying to spot the clues along the way. Don't worry, this is a spoiler free review - Although I will be talking about the theme of the book. So if you want to go into it completely unaware like I did, stop reading now.

Books: The Humorous Horror Series You'll Want to Read

Witty, rude and weird are three words I would use to describe David Wong's books, especially the "John dies at the end" series. If you love a good horror book with a twisted sense of humour mixed in, then add these three to you TBR pile immediately. This series is bizarre and will make your skin crawl at times, but all the gore is nicely balanced out by the "fuck it" attitude that David Wong's character have.

Books: Jonas Jonasson - Sweet Sweet Revenge LTD.

Nothing will help you get out of a reading rut more than having a wander around your local bookshop, which was the only thing I really wanted to do on my birthday. Finally, after months of lockdowns and being shut at home, I could go into a bookshop and smell the books... browse the books. Anyway, …

Books: Lockdown Reads

Not that I was ever the most outgoing person, but having an actual valid reason to stay at home all the time has been quite beneficial in someways - Although quite difficult in others I will admit. When lockdown kicked in all those many years (months) ago, I was determined to make the most of my ti…

How I Get a Good Night Sleep

Books on bed with sleep spray and fitbit

One of my favourites things to do is to sleep. Unfortunately, as much as I'd like to do it more often throughout the day, I can't because I have to work and for some reason, it's frowned upon to nap at your desk. So getting a good night sleep is pretty important to me otherwise, I'm extremely grumpy and hate life. I know a lot of people struggle to get to sleep on time, I used to but I'm not too bad anymore. Once I'm in bed, I'm out most of the time. So I thought I'd share a few tips with you guys that I tend to use to get a good night sleep.

Blogmas Day 6 || Christmas books on a budget

I love a good book. There's nothing more satisfying than snuggling up on the sofa with a decent book and diving deep into an imaginary world that you get far too emotionally invested in and don't know what to do with yourself once you finish it. Am I right? Yes, yes I am. Unfortunately, if you're on a budget this Christmas like me, you can't go spending money on yourself when you still have presents to buy. So here's where to get your book fix on a budget.

Books For October

I love a good book, it's like you're being transported to a different world for a bit and you get to imagine it completely how you want. Although I haven't done a lot of reading lately, I thought I'd share some books that I've read in the past and not been able to put down because they're so good.
