The Budget Foundation For Matte & Poreless Skin

I seem to be growing a collection of foundations, all for the blog of course. So when I saw the Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless foundation, I decided to add it to my collection. I truly believe you can never have too many foundations, because each one is good for different occasions.

The Maybelline Fit Me foundation is a water based foundation, that is said to cover your pores and leave your skin with a matte finish... But does it actually do that?

As I bought it online, I went for two different shades to see which one was better matched to my ghost like skin. As you can see in the photo, the 115 is a bit too warm for me. As for the 110, it is a perfect match. Maybe I'll get to use the 115 shade in the summer when I tan ha ha joke I don't tan, I burn

It has medium coverage, making it perfect for a day out or work. Personally I'd use a foundation with a bit heavier coverage for a night out, dinner or something that requires dressing up a bit more. This one does cover your pores and leaves a lovely matte finish, however, without a base underneath it doesn't stick around very long. I found that when I used it without my Botanics All Bright Radiance Balm, I was touching it up half way through the day. When I used it with the balm, it stayed put and matte until the evening, which was pretty impressive.

To apply the foundation, I have been using my Isassy Oval brush and it's been doing a great job, it's very easy to blend in. I haven't tried it with any other brush, but I'd say a beauty blender would probably do a good job too.

Final thoughts; The Maybelline Fit Me foundation has quickly become one of my favourite foundations due to its affordability and it's matte finish. I tend to use it when I have a few more blemishes than usual to cover up, seen as my CC cream doesn't cut it. Have you tried it yet? What do you think?
