Garnier Pure Challenge || The Results

I was doing my usual and binge watching vlogs on Youtube about two months ago, when an ad for Garnier's 28 Day Pure Challenge popped up. It was your usual kind of skin care advert where she uses the product, splashes her face and 28 days later her skin looks great. It made me wonder if it actually worked. I do like Garnier's products and use them quite often, but I thought I'd put these range to the test.

"Discover the Pure Active Sensitive range, designed for sensitive skin prone to spots and imperfections. A gentle but powerful cleansing and care routine to cleanse without drying out, and reduce the appearance of blemishes and imperfections while soothing sensitive skin."

So I ordered the Pure Active Sensitive range which includes a face wash, toner and moisturizer. I wanted to make sure I had every step covered and not just the face wash.
I took a before photo so I could compare end results, but I won't be posting it as I'd just woken up and I look part zombie.

The range consists of;

Sensitive Anti-Blemish Soap-Free Gel Wash,

The gel wash contains Zinc and Witch Hazel extract to fight against blemishes. The gel supposedly eliminates spots without drying out the skin, soothes and refreshes your skin and is hypoallergenic and ph neutral formula for optimal tolerance.

Sensitive Anti-Blemish Clarifying Tonic,

The tonic isn't like your usual tonic as it is a gel rather than a liquid. It contains Witch Hazel formulated for sensitive skin with imperfections and has a hydrating formula. It's supposed to tone and tighten your pores without drying out the skin, whilst also soothing your skin with a moisturizing effect.

 Sensitive Anti-Blemish Soothing Moisturizer,

The moisturizer also contains Zinc and Witch Hazel for sensitive skin with imperfections. It's supposed to help visibly reduce the appearance of spots and marks without drying out your skin, it soothes skin and hydrates it for 24 hours with a non-greasy and non-sticky finish.

Thoughts,

I have to say, I was happy with the products. The gel wash leaves your skin feeling clean and ready for the toner, the toner most definitely soothes your skin and due to it's texture being a gel, it doesn't feel sticky or leave any type of residue behind. My skin felt clean, moisturized and fresh.
The moisturizer is just as good, you don't need much as a little goes a long way and it soaks up into your skin really fast meaning it doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy.

The results,

Before I started using them my skin had quite a few unwanted blemishes that just wouldn't leave my face and having such pale skin meant they were quite noticeable. As were my pores, although I use face masks and other products to clean, and extract dirt from my pores (sexy, I know) the one thing I struggled with was actually reducing them in size. I have found that over the 28 days my pores have reduced quite a bit on my cheeks but not so much on my nose, I am still really happy with the results though. As for my blemishes, they have also reduced massively. When I compare the before and after photo I can see the difference quite a bit, although that doesn't mean that I now have no blemishes... I do, just not as many.

My skin did break out in a few areas of my face a couple of times but that is most likely due to hormones and not so much the product.

I enjoyed using the Sensitive range and would highly recommend you give it a go if you have sensitive skin and blemishes. You can buy the whole range at Superdrug for under £20, pretty good for what you get.

Have you tried the Pure Challenge?
